Henderson Equestrian Complex
Lessons
*Student standing in stirrups to practice balance and encourage confidence*
*Student during her lesson*
Lessons are given by Cortney Shipley and Luellen Henderson in western and english diciplines, preparing the rider for competing in horse shows or just learning the basics.

We accept riders of all experience.  For children, helmets are required.  If the student does not have one of their own, we have a variety of approved headgear available at the barn.  For adults, a release form must be signed if they choose not to wear a helmet while riding.  We also require each rider or child's guardian to sign release forms before their first lesson.

Riders will spend the first 15 minutes of their lesson grooming and tacking their horse (supervised by their instructor and helped when needed).  The next 30 minutes students spend on the horse.  They are taught at their level of skill.  The last 15 minutes are spent untacking and grooming the horse.  Each week we teach the students a few new vocabulary words about horse parts, riding tack, and other equestrian items.

The price of a private lesson:  $30.00

Please call Luellen or Cortney for more information.
